Business Outcomes in BIM
When the world started out on its BIM journey it was aiming at improving the productivity and profitability of all those involved in the built environment. The projected improvements were calculated at 300% if those business outcomes could be correctly modeled using good quality and trusted information. But how can you define your Outcomes and Organisational Information Requirements whilst measuring and monitoring their performance and also setting up the clauses for a smart outcome driven contract?This two-part session will give you an honest appraisal of where we are on our BIM journey and take you through some of the methodologies and processes of distilling Outcome Statements from an executive strategy document and turning them into useful Plain Language questions and Critical Success Factors. 1.5 hours of lecture followed by the same amount of collaborative workshop time where you will take a live project strategy document through to the end.To get the most out of this session attendees should;
  • Have a basic understanding of BIM and its benefits.
  • Come prepared to work on a live strategy using online tools

This is an opportunity to work on delivering Outcome driven procurement and learn how to define your Organisational Information Requirements so that you can measure your business outcomes.Measuring Business Outcomes at Functional & Asset level BIM
